This was a sketch that I turned into an oil painting called 'Triumvirate'.

I was imagining the kind of friend group I'd always dreamed of being in: a tight-knit group of misfits. A little family where we can all be as gender non-conforming as we want without judgement.

We'd be QUINGS OF THE WORLD!!!

Despite having drawn for many years, this was my first real attempt at creating a character of my own. I used to be too afraid to make something cringey. But by this point, I was embracing it. YEAH!

They're a human child who was mutated by the polluted world they were born into. Despite this they persist, strong and stubborn. A little ball of wonder and curiosity... and eccentricity.
